A Mission of Healing: How a Medical Camp in Pakistan is Changing Lives

October 14, 2025

In the beautiful, hilly region of Murree, Pakistan, a remarkable event recently unfolded—one that shows how faith in action can bring hope and healing to hundreds of people. On July 18, 2025, a dedicated team from Christ Church Rawalpindi, under the leadership of Bishop Nadeem Kamran of the Church of Pakistan Lahore Diocesan Council (COPLDC),held a successful medical camp at Murree Christian School. This wasn’t just about providing medical care; it was a powerful witness to the Church’s mission of serving the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. For nearly 500 individuals, the camp was a place where hope, healing, and compassion came together in powerful ways.

From the very start of the day, families and individuals arrived with anticipation and need. The atmosphere was bustling, with many coming with ailments long left untreated due to lack of access or resources. Here, they found a place where every voice was heard and every person cared for, providing not only medical checkups but also a sense of dignity and belonging, especially for those who often feel unseen.

A key part of this mission was the free distribution of medicines. After their consultations, patients received the medications prescribed by the doctors, completely free of charge, right from the pharmacy station. This simple act of compassion removed the heavy financial burden of medical costs for many families. For them, these medicines weren’t just a physical remedy; they were a source of relief, peace of mind, and a step toward restored health. Beyond physical healing, the atmosphere of care and respect offered emotional comfort and spiritual encouragement.

The medical camp brought together a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, administrators, and volunteers, who stood side by side with Bishop Nadeem Kamran. Their unity reflected the strength of collaboration and the deep commitment to extend Christ’s healing touch. The presence of both medical professionals and church leadership showed how faith and service can work hand in hand for the well-being of society. This entire team made the day possible!

It truly shows that the Church’s enduring role is at the heart of community service. It shows us that when compassion, leadership, and collaboration come together, they can create lasting change. By tending to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those around us, we can be a powerful witness to Christ’s love in action.
