Partnering with Ministries to Advance the Gospel

We come alongside faithful Gospel workers, equipping them with financial support, administrative guidance, theological training, strategic tools, and compassionate care. Our mission is to carry the behind-the-scenes weight so they can serve boldly on the frontlines of Gospel work.

I never in my life thought I would be partnering to send tourniquets to Ukraine during a war. Well, God had other plans. As a Global Team member under the SWHarvest umbrella, we are able to spread the Gospel through our partners on the ground in Ukraine. SWHarvest encourages us, problem solves with us, and helps us to stay on mission. We are grateful we have SWHarvest to help and care for us.

Stories of how lifted burdens became open hands for the Gospel and new hope for the unreached.

Serving Workers for the Harvest has been an incredible partner in helping me reach my ministry goals. They’ve provided both the practical support needed to run the “business” side of ministry and the spiritual encouragement to stay grounded and focused. Through SWHarvest, I’ve been connected with others on similar journeys, and I feel equipped and supported every step of the way.

It’s such an honor to be a worker for the harvest! Thanks to SWHarvest, we can now reach more people with the truth, the gospel of Christ. And no longer worship under trees! And putting James 1:27 into action, Clementine is a relieved widow. God bless SWHarvest!

In May 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the SWHarvest team in Texas. Seeing their heart up close—the hospitality, shared prayer, and unity—was deeply encouraging. This confirmed our growing partnership. I returned to Latvia filled with fresh encouragement and connections that will strengthen the Gospel movement in our region.

In June 2025, I had the privilege of spending time with the SWHarvest network and was introduced to several of their partners. These connections have opened doors for future ministry collaboration and prayer support that I would never have had otherwise. What impressed me most was SWHarvest’s heart for empowering local leaders across the world and helping ministries like ours feel seen, supported, and sent. The relationships formed through SWHarvest are already bearing fruit, and we are excited about what’s ahead.

The ministry of Serving Workers for the Harvest (SWHarvest) has been a blessing. I’ve seen God working through the staff as they help us share the Gospel. Thank you for your teachings, encouragement, and support through the difficulties of ministry, which has deepened my understanding of the Bible. Your prayers have made a real difference in Laura and my life, and we want to continue helping others, just as SWHarvest has helped us. We rest on the promise: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Stories of how lifted burdens became open hands for the Gospel and new hope for the unreached.

We are prisoners from Klessoum who benefited from the donation of 300 bibles dispatched into cells for bible studies and Sunday service. This is something that was difficult in the past but through the contact and the visit that the SWHarvest leadership had into that place, we shared our burdens and expectations that are partially met. We are grateful to the Lord God who made this connection possible.

God moved in a special way to connect this ministry with Serving Workers for the Harvest (SWHarvest). The ministry was facing dissolution, but the support from SWHarvest brought revival and a testament of hope. They encouraged the team to look upon Jesus and helped initiate the process of registering a new ministry with the Kenyan government, a process that continues today. SWHarvest also provided tangible resources, including printing 5,000 books of the ministry’s curriculum, which greatly expanded their outreach. They continue to be a shoulder to lean on through visits, spiritual encouragement, and connecting the ministry with a global network of partners.

FAQ

Here’s everything you need to know about partnering, giving, and serving with SWHarvest.

The focus of SWHarvest is to serve God’s workers who are actively serving the Lord in their specific ministry. Each ministry is unique in where they work, how they operate, and who they serve. However, each ministry is united in evangelizing/reaching people with the gospel of Christ, discipling/equipping believers, and encouraging growth to multiply/reproduce the kingdom of God.

SWHarvest was officially launched in January 2022. While the organization is new, the founding leadership and many field staff have been involved in ministry work for decades. Our president in particular spent many years ministering in the Soviet Union and post-Soviet states of Eastern Europe. Our executive staff has over 70 years of combined service experience.

SWHarvest is a rapidly growing organization with numerous ministry staff in the United States and overseas as well as a host of Global Teams in various countries across the globe. To see a list of our Global teams please Click here

Domestically we work with established grass-roots ministries who are seeking support and guidance from a 501(c)(3) organization that assists with ministry growth, accountability, legal backing, and administrative support for financial management.

Internationally, we work together under a Joint Ministry Partnership Agreement with a national church, group of churches, NGO, or denomination. Assistance is generally provided for strategizing for evangelism/church planting, equipping/training ministry leadership, and giving guidance in fundraising efforts.

Serving Workers for the Harvest (SWHarvest) provides comprehensive administrative support designed to free ministry leaders to focus on their Gospel work. Through its centralized business office, SWHarvest handles essential operations such as bookkeeping, budgeting, donor tracking, and financial accountability, ensuring ministries remain transparent and compliant. The organization also manages administrative tasks like data entry, communications, and reporting, streamlining the logistics that often burden frontline workers. Beyond operations, SWHarvest offers strategic and spiritual guidance from a leadership team with deep theological and practical business experience. This all-in-one support system equips ministries to grow effectively and remain mission-focused—especially in areas where Christ is least known.

Our approach supports ministries in being responsive and adaptive to the specific calling and opportunities presented by God. SWHarvest’s ministries are “field-driven,” allowing individual ministries to plan, execute, and expand based on God’s leading and direction.

To ensure their success, our centralized business office provides essential support through administration, theological backing, financial management, ministry reporting, and accountability.

What systems are in place for financial accountability in the main office and in the field?

We are committed to being good stewards of God’s resources by practicing financial accountability and transparency in all areas of ministry activity.

SWHarvest is a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), adhering to their stringent integrity standards for nonprofits. We require all of our Global Team members to hold to the same high standards. Additionally, SWHarvest submits to an annual audit performed by an independent CPA who also submits our 990 tax return. We remain in full compliance with all Federal and State government regulations as well.

SWHarvest has adopted an Accountable Expense Reimbursement Plan (AERP) which details the requirements and responsibilities that allow for reimbursement of monthly ministry expenses. Requests for distribution of funds are evaluated and compared to budgets, approved, and distributed to Global Team members according to pre-arranged instructions. Global Team members are required to substantiate all expenditures according to Internal Revenue Service regulations, ECFA standards, and the AERP. SWHarvest leadership and/or its representatives will also perform periodic field audits.

All Global Team Leaders and Global Workers are required to attend and participate in  scheduled orientation sessions at the beginning of their time serving with SWHarvest. Topics covered include important information regarding organizational structure, organizational culture and ethos, ministry introductions, SWHarvest’s responsibilities, ministry responsibilities, fundraising, and financial policies and procedures. It is a collaborative time where questions are asked and answered.

We do not have our own formal missionary/cross-cultural training program due to our ministry size. However, we strongly encourage Global Workers to attend training with Mission Training International and/or Radius International. Where possible we connect new Global Workers with mentors who have field experience.

Language proficiency requirements vary widely between ministries. When a high level of proficiency is required, SWHarvest will assist Global Workers in connecting with programs that specialize in language training.

SWHarvest, the Global Worker, and the Global Worker’s sending church are in a continual collaborative relationship to ensure adequate support for the Global Worker. We encourage the church to have ongoing, active involvement. Frequency of communication and modes of support are determined on an individual basis.

SWHarvest expects Global Workers to work closely with local and national churches in order to carry out the mission to reach the unreached, disciple new believers, and multiply the church. How this is accomplished varies across countries and ministries.

Each ministry has a Field Ministry Director who oversees that ministry and also serves as team leader.  The Field Ministry Director makes job assignments (considering the desires and abilities of the team members, along with the ministry’s needs).  If there are disagreements within the team, or with a team leader, the SWHarvest Ministry liaison for that ministry is called upon to help resolve the disagreement.

SWHarvest ministries are not proprietary or exclusive. We are all working for the purpose of reaching the world with the gospel of Christ. When opportunities for collaboration with other ministries or organizations arise, we ensure alignment with the basic points of doctrine and like-mindedness in ministry goals before entering into a collaborative arrangement.

SWHarvest expects Global Workers to be continually studying the Bible and growing in faith but not necessarily through formal education. We will assist any Global Worker requiring formal education to increase the effectiveness of their ministry on an individual basis.

All SWHarvest ministries are required to maintain integrity in every area. Accountability is required, and transparency is crucial in order to remain in good standing with God and man and to protect our ministries and organization.

Accountability is achieved through required ministry and financial reports, regular communication with the executive team, prayer/newsletters, and field visits when possible.
