Empowering Women and Strengthening Fellowship Across Diocesan Churches

On October 4, 2025, the Church of Pakistan Lahore Diocesan Council Women’s Fellowship (COPLDCWF) joyfully inaugurated the Women’s Fellowship of St. Thomas Church, Qadiwand Village, Kasur. This memorable event marked another step forward in COPLDCWF’s mission to connect, empower, and strengthen women across diocesan churches through shared faith, fellowship, and purposeful service.

The inauguration was attended by the COPLDCWF President, office staff, and presidents from various churches across the Lahore District, reflecting a growing spirit of unity and partnership among diocesan women leaders. The service began with heartfelt worship led by Mrs. Aroos, the local Women’s Fellowship President and wife of Catechist Aftab, whose ministry and leadership continue to inspire the local congregation. The church choir, composed of young girls from the village, led the congregation in songs of praise, symbolizing a new generation of women rising to serve God with joy and dedication.

During the gathering, the Women’s Fellowship of St. Thomas Church presented two proposed community initiatives — the establishment of a Stitching Centre and an Adult Literacy Program. Both projects aim to empower women by equipping them with practical skills and education, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their families, churches, and communities. These initiatives align with COPLDCWF’s vision of holistic development — nurturing spiritual growth alongside social and economic empowerment.

This outreach effort has not only strengthened ties between Kasur and other diocesan churches but has also reduced long-standing gaps by bringing women together in shared purpose and collaboration. Through such combined efforts, women who were once unseen are now being recognized, appreciated, and celebrated for their faith and leadership.

The inauguration concluded with a time of joyful fellowship and thanksgiving, as participants rejoiced in what God is doing among His people in rural communities. The event stands as a testament to how women across the diocese are joining hands to build bridges, share resources, and glorify God through united service and discipleship.
