Joy and gratitude filled the air at St. Monica’s High School, Clarkabad, on October 30, 2025, as 151 children received scholarships to continue their education. Supported by Barnabas Aid and organized by the Church of Pakistan Lahore Diocesan Council (COPLDC), the event celebrated faith, generosity, and the belief that education can transform lives.
The morning began with Psalm 1 and a heartfelt prayer by Pastor Ayub, the Pastor of local community church in the village, inviting God’s blessings upon the students. Soon, the courtyard echoed with songs of praise and a lively welcome performance by the children. Their voices carried joy and hope—the sound of dreams taking flight.

Among the many touching moments was a skit titled “Light of Hope.” The students portrayed how children from struggling families found a new beginning through the kindness of donors. As they acted out stories of hardship turning into opportunity, the audience saw a glimpse of how faith and compassion can shape the future.
Three scholarship students stepped forward to share their gratitude, their words filled with sincerity and courage. They spoke of studying harder, dreaming bigger, and wanting to give back to their communities one day. The Head of the Primary Section also expressed thanks, saying the scholarships had brought renewed energy to the classrooms and hope to families in need.

In his address, Mr. Shahzad Bashir from Barnabas Aid reminded the children that education is both a blessing and a responsibility. He encouraged them to stay faithful in their studies and urged parents to use this support wisely for their children’s growth and well-being. For families of laborers and brick kiln workers, it was more than financial help; it was a message of God’s care and the power of unity that their children received scholarship for complete one year from Nov 2025-Oct 2026.
Principal Mr. Kashif Samson closed the ceremony with heartfelt thanks to Barnabas Aid and COPLDC, followed by a prayer of thanksgiving.
This day at St. Monica’s was more than an event—it was a celebration of faith in action, where generosity became the light that leads young hearts toward hope and a brighter tomorrow.
